What will be on your table ?
What will be on your table for Thanksgiving dinner ? My table will of course have a nice roast turkey. But there will also be a roast elk loin with a cranberry glaze, cornbread stuffing, mom's famous baked beans, yams, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, a green salad and dinner rolls. And for dessert pumpkin and cherry pie.
Now I have went and made myself hungry. I should have waited till it was closer to lunch time to post this.

We will have several food items on the table, especialy the pumpkin cheesecake.
The main thing will be the folks around the table. Our kids will be here for the weekend and Ann's sister will come over. We might even find a few folks who would have been by themselves to come.

Just a simple, humble meal with plenty of thanks for country, friends and family.

I bought a small frozen whole turkey a couple of weeks ago. I took my 'meat saw' and split it lengthwise, ate half and left the other half frozen. For Thanksgiving; store bought dressing, packaged gravy, cinnamon apple rings, asparagus, olives, salad and the other half of the bird.

There will be 22 of us in my cousin's little lake house. I don't know how we squeeze in
We'll drink wine, eat like pigs, and laugh at each other.
I love Thanksgiving
Some menu items are traditional and go back to past generations, other change yearly.
By the time the bird hits the table, almost everyone will have had their fill of appetizers already
A couple of the kids rarely eat any of their dinner....so what
Right now I'm baking pies. Most likely there will be so many that some never get touched

Just the two of us. Smoked turkey, we'll split a baked potato, a box of Stove Top stuffing and a nap. Then a slice of pumpkin pie.
