Regardless of your religious beliefs, or, followings, this time of year seems to be one of reflections and thoughts given over to all the things we are blessed with and given free of charge.

A sunny day, mid winter, to "get out there, one more time, when we were thinking of putting the rods away", "that rod tip that DID miss the tailgate hinge, even though we were positive we heard a "crunch", that fishing partner that laughs WITH US, when we screw up, never AT US", "that text book cast, followed by that text book take...the fish coming to the net in text book fashion".

I don't think about all the things, that I have, that maybe "I'm lucky enough to afford", at the time I wanted them. I think about and am thankful for all the gifts I'm given for free.

For, how ever I came by these things, how ever I personally believe I was given them..... the point remains I WAS and for that I'm forever grateful.
