Has anyone tried out the WS Ride 135? It seems to be just like the Tarpon 120 only a little longer and a little wider (more stable). I have found a place that will sell me a new one for $550. Seems like a real good deal to me?
Any thoughts?

One of my fishing buddies uses a ride and likes it alot. It has lots of storage room and is quite stable. It isn't as fast as my sundance 120 but moves at a reasonable speed. I think it would be a great boat for larger bodies of water or larger rivers, Though my friend uses his for smaller rivers as well and seems to have no trouble handling it.
The Ride 135 is an update of an old design that predated the WS Tarpons. They enlarged the tank well and lengthened it a little. It is wider and more stable than the Tarpon 140, but is slower and a little noisier. It is more similar to the OK Drifter, another stable kayak at about the same length. My only complaint about its is the weight at 64 pounds, but that's similar to the other WS kayaks.
At $550 new, it sounds like a good deal. The resale value may not be as high as the Tarpons, but the going in price is definately better.
