Default URL links no longer hot?

It was pointed out on another thread that the URL links are no longer " HOT"

And in the lower left hand side of the screen when you are in the Post page it says that the url is Off.

Is this an oversight or done purposefully to perhaps make things run smoother on the website?

I know that you can copy and paste the urls still and check the link that way although its a bit of a pain.

    Just wondering?
For God's sake, Don't Quote me! I'm Probably making this crap up!

The burpofragilator must be down for routine service again. I thought they usually kick in the removentriclatolistator when they take down the burpofragilator. Guess I was wrong...again! Bummer.

There you have it, right from the Burpofragilator Meister himself.

It makes perfect sense to me though. It's a bit like a display of spring flowers for sale in front of your local Home Depot. Some people load up their trunk with them, go inside and pay for what they took while others simply load up their trunk and just leave naively assuming they are free for the taking or just plain steal them. But that's only MY opinion, I could be wrong.

Not a big deal unless you post a link like this:

    Bam, ... LOL!

Actually, all one has to do is TRIPLE click on the link, copy (ctrl-C) then paste it (ctrl-V) into the address bar in your browser
