Suggestion for a possible new forum

I'm posting this here as I'm pretty sure this is the most visited forum. Here's my thought & suggestion...

In our travels, be it business, vacation, or maybe just a trip to a Cabelas, Bass Pro, family event, sports show, or an "away" sporting event, how many times have we been within shouting distance of another FAOL family member & didn't know it? I would propose a forum where we could post where & when we were traveling. Others in the destination area could respond, either by post, PM, or email & maybe get together to fish, dine, or just to meet & "shoot the bull". I have met many FAOLers face to face for the first times at or after a Fish-In, Wedding, shopping trip, vacation, & fly fishing show(s). I just let folks know where I'll be & when, but it would be a lot easier to have a forum dedicated to that. It may be practical or it may not...just my suggestion.

I think that is a good idea. I could see something like that getting a huge number of posts. My only recommendation would be to tell folks to have a little discretion posting. I could see people posting that they decided to go a different grocery store and maybe some FAOL'er would want to meet up. That might not be a bad thing, but who knows.

We could call it simply "Meet the FAOLers." (Meet the Fockers)

On hiking forum I belong to, if you come across someone on the trail who you suspect is a forum member,
you give them the "Spock/Live Long and Prosper" hand signal and say "Alligator Eggs"

Or "Slinky!" Random words that signal those that have similar chronic diseases (like fly-fishing and tying)!

The patch is a great idea. I would have to get one for every hat and shirt and coat and jacket and pants and pajamas (because I go out in those sometimes) and more!

Have we thought about stickers for the vehicles? I am relatively new to the forum and have yet to observe every nook and cranny on FAOL. Sorry if that is an existing option.
