Thread: Can't Catch 'em all!

    Default Can't Catch 'em all!

My new book, "Fly Fishing with A. K." has a grievous error on page 56, first sentence: When making a skip cast....." Should read: "When making a pile cast...."

Didn't want to cause confusion about "What the h*** is he talking about!

    Thanks,

    A. K.

    A.K.,

Gotta hate it when that happens... ;(

Good luck with the sales. Wish for many dyslexic readers... *teasing*

    Cheers,
    Hans W

I can make an awesome skip cast with a spinning rod and a soft plastic jerkbait. Haven't been able to master it with a flyrod yet.

Hey everyone makes mistakes, for example i was looking at my cabelas magazine, and on page 84 it has bead head nymphs, and it says gold bead pheasant tail, but shows a picture of the a gold bead hares ear.

    Hey, J.C.,

I had a feeling that might be your first reaction...sneaky ad. BUT, when I read my advance copy, I tried to figure out what I was describing when compared to the photo. Was really confusing. Have gone through the book 5 times since I got it. There might be other errors, but I couldn't find any more. Unusual don't you think?

    Thanks,

    A. K.

    Hi Folks,

Heck, I been using a skip cast for
redneck style poppers here in the South for
most of my life. It's just a hot sidearm
that hits the water at the edge of the
cypress limbs and skips back underneath
in the shady spot. It's where ya really
want your fly to be.*G* Warm regards, Jim

    A.K.,

Does the cover of your new book have a picture of a guy with a spinning rod on it too?

Hope we don't have to change "A.K." to "2ND"

And I thought it was about all those leary trout in the St. Vrain that just jump on the hooks of your finely tyed flies! Figured by now y'all would have pet names for each & every one of them & just couldn't catch them all anymore!

Flyfisher's Paradise in PA does'nt have it yet...I looked for it thoe,Since I recently found out it was to be released....

Although I did pick up a copy of JG's latest "With" the Spinning reel silloette... 23.00 bucks no rate hikes in their shop.....as I have heard rumors of on here...
