What do you think of the colors. It took me a while to decide on what colors to use and just ended up punting. I had a lot of jigs to tie so it took me longer to get back to flies.

Nice, how do you get the eyes to look so crisp, mine don't come out that clear and crisp, not that the fish mind they gobble them up anyway but I mind.

Maybe I need to lay off the coffee before tying.

Not sure why yours don't look like this, but here is how I paint the head. First I paint the base color and use Acrylic pain (some I have is gloss and some is not), then I paint the under color of the eyes and after that dries I paint the Black. I paint with the flat end of a drill bit and try to keep the first color about 2 times larger then the Black. I do make sure to have a good amount on it before I touch it to the bait. After it all dries i over coat with Sally Henson's Hard as nails Top Coat.

No real tricks just what I do. I do think the Sally Henson's is key to having good looking deep eyes. It brings them to life so to speak.

If someone wants my jigs with eyes I do them the same way just smaller depending on the size of the head.
