    Default What a Year....Reflections of 07 Fishing!

I know many of you may say that there is plenty of fishing left, I agree, but for many the year is coming to an end in the next few weeks.

I was thinking about what great fishing it's been for the last 12 months and how many new places I've been able to fish. Boy do I love to self employment and a very flexible schedule With about 80 days out in the water and a few more trips left I hope next year will be just as good.

What destinations has anyone been to that they would like to share..

    For me:
    Alaska-Silvers/Bows/Steelhead
    Boca Grande-Tarpon
    San Juan
    Green River
    Tampa- Reds
    Homassasa-Snook/Reds
    Gray Reef
    Florida Keys-Bonefish/Sharks/Cuda
    REI Hole- 20-30lb Golden Bones

    Upcoming
    Patagonia-Chile next Month
    Andros-Spring 08'
    Montana-Summer 08'
    Costa Rica-Fall 08'

Glad you liked them....I'm sure out of all the people on here with great trips I've read about that someone can post a few pics to look at. Mine I'm sure are modest compared to others,,,

    TroutDawg,
Mine are mostly of the 2007 MI Fish-In and I am hesitant to post them for fear of making you and some other fellow FAOLr's jealous. Yours are "nice" though. Modest but nice

Well for me it has to be the amount and quality of large mouth bass caught at a local lake early in the season.

Most enjoyable though this year has got to be converting to fly fishing, what a way to fish. I would have to say my best trip of the season was attending the Micro Fish in Michigan. I did not catch a single trout but meet some fantastic people who are now my friends and they taught me so much about fly fishing in a one day trip. I would like to believe because of this little trip I am a better fisherman as well as a better person.

Thanks for your help guys you know who you are.

Caught my first carp on a fly. Please note the appropriate attire and frame of mind (wasted on cheap beer).

I'm sure that I too could make some people jealous about the water I fished this year but a lot of my spots are under the magazine cover radar and I want to keep it that way.

Hey! The extended arm trick is MINE! Since I only catch small fish I have to shove them in the face of the camera to get them more biggerer! LMAO Nice "bugle-mouth bass!"
