Betty, look at Jim Flamming's reader's casts article from a couple of weeks ago. He talks about building glass fly rods from inexpensive spinning rod blanks.
I can think of few acts more selfish than refusing a vaccination.

Lamiglas Spring Creek blanks are very nice ... amber/brown finish, gives it a nice "retro" look.

Dudly ...really?!? I've been looking at them! Wonder how they'd compare to my Hardyglass?
Have looked into Lamiglass, too, but hesitated as they're not completely glass ... a combined graphite glass combination? How's that work?
RC .. will be building a few of the spinning rod blanks to fly rods for my younger grandchildren to get them going!
