    Default Doubly Bunny question

When gluing the two layers of Magnum bunny strips together is this done only over the length of the hook itself or are the two strips to be glued together all the way to the tip of the tail?
I suspect the latter but want to be sure. Thanks

Keep in mind that adhesives tend to "stiffen" the action of bunny strips. The hair and hide both need to be completely soaked with H2O for them to undulate properly.
I personally like to glue both strips together all the way to the tail -- but not with a continuous smear of adhesive. I use very small dots of super glue gel spaced at 1/4" intervals. Not sure if this is the ideal adhesive, but it's quick and holds very well. Just don't "connect the dots" or your bunny will be stiff as a board.

GLUE! LOL I sew mine together...for real, but I also put a stinger hook in the tail. I have glued with 3M spray on and it works really well. No stiffness.

Hey Sewing!!! thats a really cool idea Fly Goddess. Now I'm wondering, do you sew the whole length of the body, or just intermitittently? and do you ever have trouble with hairs getting trapped by your stitches??

Also, great link Normand. That's a very clear tutorial.

I like Wapsi Flex-Seal. The only downside in my case is that it often takes a very generous application to get the desired result. I glue all the way to the tail.

Isn't super glue a bit stiff? Or is that why you'd use small drops instead of a continuous line?

Yep, just a tiny dab (applied with the tip of a toothpick) will do ya because it spreads a little when the two halves are pressed together. Using too much will completely ruin the action of the fur.
