    Default Collecting flies?

I'm not normally a collector but i have some as shown below. this is a woven hair hackle fly tied by mike tucker of Colorado. i watched mike for about an hour at a tying show in the Boston armory many many years ago and he gave me the finished product. its a representation of a stone fly that was tied many years ago by george grant of Montana.

i also have a set of polish woven nymphs tied by davy wotton

thats about it it for me. do you have any collectibles?

You might be able to find out at http://www.davywotton.com/ , or by Googling "polish woven nymphs," or "Czech nymphs." He's not the only person making those flies. BTW, I tie them and they are very effective. You do have to fish them a bit differently, but it's not difficult.

    Default Just a few...

The woven fly looks amazing as does Davy's sets.

I have a few of Al Campbell's flies as well as Jim Hatch. All I need now is some of Oliver Edwards' and I'm all set.

Not really a collector, but I do have flies tied by Franz B. Pott (circa 1942), E.H."Polly" Rosborough (circa 1988-1991), Darwin Atkin (circa 197, Gary LaFontaine (circa 1993), a bunch of Jack Gartside patterns and a couple of classic, gut eyed, full dress salmon flies (real fishing flies, not the show type stuff).

I have all the flies except for a few duplicates from all the swap's I have participated in hanging on the wall over my tying aera in shadow boxes made from empty cigar boxes and foam... However since I no longer smoke I am going to have to find another solution soon.
