Part of why Gila Trout were endangered and are currently threatened. Gila-Rainbow mix and overrun by Bows, Cutts, Cuttbows, Browns, Brookies, etc. Makes me sick. Tamarisk (salt cedar) is invasive here too and a full grown adult plant can suck up 300 gallons of water PER DAY!!! Living in the desert, this is a serious problem, but slow beauracracies and such things get in the way of any serious removal programs. Creosote is a major problem here too. Around the Organ Mountains, there used to be grasses as tall as 5 feet and Mesquite bushes everywhere. Now, it is a wasteland of Creosote and Cactus, and most people think the Creosote is native.... sigh. rant over.

Phew, I thought you were going to say something about Californians.
We have NZ mud snails in some of our waters. The first time I became aware of the fact that the section of the creek I was wading in was literally covered in them I nearly puked!
