Some material, no matter how hard you try, will not stay put in a dubbing loop and it will take some wax to hold them in place long enough to finish making the dubbing "rope". If you are creating a fly that calls for a body made using a "touch dubbing" technique, you will have to use some wax.
This information is only furnished for those who feel a dubbing loop will take the place of using wax which is not always true.
