    Default Try an adams

[color=#0000FF]Went down to the stream tihs morning and the conditons were great. The fish were taken small grey midges size 24-26 up AND down the stream so I tyed on a size 24 gray midge and had refusels up and down the stream so I then I tied on a 26 gray midge with the same results.I then tied on every small midge and still no hook ups,it was getting close to the time i had to leave to go home so I figured nothing else was working so why not try #14 adams on my first cast i had a hook up and landed a nice fat 13 inch brown over the next 20 min I hooked and realesed 3 more.I dont think ill ever figure this out.

Your fly stood out against all the others. And it was bigger so it was less energy for a bigger meal.

    less energy/bigger bug/hungry trout=happy angler.

I don't mess around and throw the Para Adams first. Most of the time I don't have to change it. Either that or a Royal Wullf.

For me it's important to see the fly all the time so I don't miss the take. I might get more takes by matching the hatch, but it does me no good if I see them too late to get a hook up.

Cheeseburgers. Sometimes it works. And sometimes it doesn't.
