Amy and I could never find words to express the deep gratitude we feel for all of you. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you all for the kind thoughts, prayers and well wishes. Our hope is that this turns out the same as the last scare we had with her. That turned out not to be cancer.

I apologize for not being able to post myself. My emotions were just too high for me to do so yesterday. We are doing slightly better today but still in turmoil. I am the optimist of our family and I am trying to encourage a better state of mind in Amy. Since the dust has started to settle a little bit our thinking is becoming more clear. We have found out that there are several other, non cancer, things that can cause lesions and nodules in the lungs that appear to be cancer. One of these is calcium deposits in women that have had hysterectomies. Amy had a complete hysterectomy 15 years ago. We hope that the doctor is over reacting due to her family history of lung cancer. As I have told her, it is not cancer until the Pathologist/Oncologist says it is. The waiting to find out is very tough and now we have to wait for the cancer doctor to set up the appointment, get the biopsy result back and, of course, battle the insurance company. Meanwhile, I am trying to encourage Amy to stay as physically active as possible. Tough to do for someone that has a disability.

You are the most wonderful friend that a person can have. I am forever in your debt for posting for me and all of the things you and Colleen have done. Folks, if you don't have Mike as a friend in your life, well, you are missing out on a chance to get to know the most wonderful guy on earth!
