Default 2nd Annual NFL Swap--Home Game Coming up

Since the first of the preseason games are starting, this is a good time to do another NFL swap. There will be 12 tiers including myself, and no limit to the type of fly to tie, but they need to be in connection to your favorite NFL team. It can be a current team, past team colors, a past or present player, coach, owner, staff, etc. The deadline for sign-up is 9 September (start of the regular season) or whenever it's full; deadline for finishing flies is 31 October. If things run faster, we'll just wrap up early. You know the usual: sturdy box. return postage for 1st class package, etc. Thanks for joining.

I know this will generate some contravening discussions and may cause some of you to wonder about by sanity, but it is offered up in the spirit of sportsmanship and comradery and the best interests of fly fishing. When the Patriots win the Super Bowl in February of 2008, I will send a half dozen flies to each of the other members of the swap. You will have a choice of dry flies, wet flies, nymphs of streamers, you need only contact me as to your choice. All flies will be delivered by mid March. Please no black patterns, I probably will have eaten enough crow by then! Hey it a half dozen extra flies, even "da Bears"or the Bronco fans can't complain.

I would like to get in on this one if I may, with a Packers Brassie. The last one was a lot of fun. Diane's swaps are always great to be in. Thanks John
I wish you all everlasting flies and tight lines.

I believe Mr. Farve is back for another year, I hope he does not get injured. He has been a class act for the game and I want to see him go out on the top of his game. He does not have to prove anything to anybody and exemplifies the Packer tradition......and I am not an avid Packer fan. However with my daughter relocating to Wisconsin that could change. I think this swap is going to prove to be a hoot, maybe we could all reconvene toward the end of the season and have some sort of a Super Swap ( or wager) where the winner takes all. Being a native New Englander and having long suffered with the early versions of the Patriots, its hard to ignore them now when they have finally become a bond fide power house.
