Bass Pro Shops have a rod called the Gold Cup. It looks and sounds like a decent rod for the money. Does anybody know any thing about these rods? Thanks.

Don't know as I haven't owned that rod but I do own a 270 reel and I'm very happy with it.

I did get to cast one at the BP here and it felt really good. I have 3 or 4 of their rods and they are pretty good for the money.

My brother has a BassPro CV series 3 weight rod and then another 6 weight from BassPro and he loves them.
My buddy's been fishing for 2 years w/ the Gold Cup 8wt combo and it's a very good rod and reel.
