Should do the trick. Its an easy enough fly to tie that even I can tie it up.

I've always had problems with Ray's flies fouling. A more open casting loop helped, but I would forget and just try and punch the fly out into the wind. This year I tried something a little different. I tied up blondes with the ray's fly colors. White tail with an olive over yellow wing, pearl christmas tinsel body. All very sparse. It's more of a sandeel than a silverside, but there was no fouling and it was very popular with the stripers

the fouling is caused by the peacock herl; you can just cut the peacock herl a little shorter or substitute a darker bucktail for the herl.
Dave,
I don't use the herl, it doesn't hold up.
