In JC's writing today, he mentions his 39th birthday being today ... but the BB page says there're no birthdays today. Is it really JC's birthday????? And is he really 39??????

As JC stated in his article:
Good writers do not lie, so, that means he is 39 and today is his birthday. I am shocked that you would question "Superman"!!

Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.

Duh ... I flipped through my "life line" (day scheduler), and there! low and behold!! I have JC's birthday on April 25!! I wasn't questioning the age ... OK ... I was ... but to not acknowledge the day was just not right!!!

I am pretty sure I have never written anything that was a downright lie, even if it might have seemed like a good idea at the time. And I have only stretched things when it was absolutely necessary. Stuff like how many fish I caught, how far I can cast and how old I am.So, there you have it. Here on my thirty-ninth birthday I will go outside today and practice my distance casting (going for beyond 110 feet) so I can reach those ten pound brookies in a secret lake I know of just five minutes from here. ~ James Castwell

I've heard of fisher persons being accused of lying, but SUPERMAN?

Could it be that Superman has been flying around saving the day for so long now, that when he did stop to write this weeks article he thought it was his 39th birthday not realizing it has long since passed?
Superman first appeared in Action Comics in June 1938.
Trout don't speak Latin.
Superman lived a double life with a false identity as Clark Kent. He even got a job under that name like an illegal alien in a meat packing plant. He was a pathological liar, a fraud, and an undocumented worker. Interesting how he became the iconic fictional champion of "truth, justice, and the American way," huh?
Of course, JC was just kidding. It's a testament to his mediocre writing skills that he failed to adequately get that point across.
Ah ha,,,, but you did get it!
