They work, but, boy! you gotta really work to make them work. It can be frustrating and tedious to work the line into the "chinese finger"of the loop. You can use a curling iron or a clothing iron to CAREFULLY melt the tube that holds it all together.

I am using this system on all my 6 wt and heavier rods. It works great and not that hard to do. On the backing side, I use a Bimini twist with a larger loop to put over a reel in order to change lines.

You can't tie a loop?
Well, ask the fly shop you bought it from for help with the loops. I bought a SA Quad tip. It came with no loops. The fly shop did all the loops for me when I paid for the line. That's the nice thing about not mail ordering and going to my local shops!Originally Posted by backwoods
