Incredible article....................I was in Ethiopia in 1973 involved with famine relief. Much of the time spent up north in Wollo province but did make it to down to Shashemene where there was a missionary compund run by Sudan Interior Mission. Had no idea trout fishing could be had down south. Maybe a new toursist attraction since my leaving there? The Chinese were coming in the next year to re-build the roads. Great article again

those trout were there 71-76, when I lived in Addis. The road from Shashemane was pretty much 4-wheel drive only. Sonds like it got better.
