danvise expodes i heard. and one brand has fiberglas jaws.. one in kit,s are trash
kits are trash i looked for what u tie and kits dont have any stuff if u tie a fish kit . u have
hooks to show of and box of none ones to fish and stuff like rabbit fur that looses die,
and thread disolves in lake, id like a rotary vise that if i get could need clean up of dust bunnies
fine. then tie 200 flies for my pike self. and swaps.
after loking at cheep vises junk. il be taking 80 bucks to fly shop for hooks
so i get hooks that catch fish and don't self destruct.

Backwoods, I dunno where you heard that the Danvise explodes, because I've been using mine for many years. It's the one set up on my table right now. I figure if Al and Gretchen Beatty can tie on them, so can I.

backwoods ....I tie on 2 of them...Danvise that is ..and agree they are a bargin at $80 but you can get them at even a better deal if you search....there was some touble with the metal in a run of the jaws early but Al made that right no questions asked...if you want TRUE rotary IMHO you can't go wrong....

    Backwoods,

I use a Peak vise, for the money they are the best vise out there. I have owned Renzettii and they are great if you have $200 bones laying around (or more) Dan vise is also great, I have used one of my friend and they are awsome.

Up to you but peak and Dan vise are great vises.

danvise is great. I have tied flies on my Danvise for three years and no problems with anything. I tied on a Renzetti TRaveler and sold it, kept the Danvise. Peak is fine, Griffin is fine.
