Default Big gills, shallow clear water

Once again the local creeks and ponds are aflood, go figure. Found one tonight that is about three feet high, but crystal clear. The gills were up in the flooded grass in water so thin their backs were leaving v-wakes like shark fins. They took soft hackles like candy, IF you could get within casting range with out sending them all scampering. It was a little like casting to a pod of mini-carp . Still managed to catch a couple dozen in the 6-9 inch range. I'll bet tonight the cats and bass will be up there munching the gills. Oh well, can't be on the water ALL the time, I guess.
If it swims and eats, it'll eat a fly.
