This will sound dumb, ... I always wear neo-socks OVER my stocking foot breathables.

The water is generally cool to freezing here, so my feet don't get too cold.

The added layer of stosp my stocking foot's from getting compression leaks.

I used to wear out the stockings on a pair of breatheable in about two years, ... my current pair ar going on their 5th season with no problems.

Helps stop grit and gravel from grinding into the stocking feet too.
