Default Cleaning Gear Prior to a Fish-In

In a few days many of us from all over North America will be decending on the Michigan Fish-In and the Holy Waters of the Au Sable river.
I am considering foregoing any fishing this week to let everything dry out and then soaking my waders and boots in a mild bleach solution for about 24 hours then drying them before packing up.
    Any other thoughts or suggestions?
This also pertains to all Fish-Ins!

    Hey there Jack,
Thanks for the GREAT tip. As you mentioned, because of the varied places from which the attendees hale, who knows what could be lurking in/on their waders etc. You can trust that my "stuff" will suffer a bleach solution rinse for sure.

AND as an added precaution, I will immediately start a regimen of a 40 to 50% solution of alcohol with some compatible additive and pour it straight down my gullet at least three times per day lest I cough an contaminate someone with some germ from Illinois. I know, it's a sacrifice for sure. Just MY small part.

Be sure to clean you camera lense, bring plenty of memory cards and batteries. We who cannot attend will appreciate some pics of the event.

I don't use my stuff enough to contaminate it, but I, too, will do a cleaning of my waders and wading shoes this week. Also, I started Marco's regiment last week to cleanse my digestive tract and increase my tolerance level for copius amounts of adult beverages which will be ubiquitous during the Fish-In.

Time for another Jack Daniels on the rocks!

I know that I didn't think about this untill someone pointed it out to me one day. Be sure to wash your dog prior to the trip. While your enroute don't let him out for a cooling off swim or a wade in a stream untill your at your destination. A Wet dog can carry any number of aquatic plants and things.

    Thanks for the timely reminder.

I flush my system with 40 proof on a daily basis!! The waders are going in the sink for a bleach soak. Thank God I'm not married so I don't have to explain the reason!! Tried it twice and found out I was not suited for it!!
