Help! Spousal Abuse-Bill won't let me play!

Help! Help1 Help! I want to go practice casting and Bill won't let me! Just because I had hernia surgery about a month ago, he says I have to wait for full release from the surgeon before I can practice casting.

Sheesh, the doctor said I could lift anything under 20 lbs, and all three of our cats weigh at least 15 lbs and I've been picking them up for the past two weeks. A gallon of water weighs 9 lbs. My Reddington is only a 5 wt., I don't see how that can hurt me any!

I hope everyone will help me to convince Bill a little casting practice won't hurt me, but will actually help since it's a type of exercise, which will strengthen my abdominal muscles.

Rushing recovery from surgery or an injury is the most common cause of complications. Follow the doctor's orders. If the doc says it's OK, then fine. If not, just wait. It could save you months of down time caused from an injury.

Pretty simple....just call the Doc.
if not full release [does that mean he never wants to see you again] ask for "Casting release".

Well, I think that answers your question. I'm sure he's seen the fish you catch and he does not want you hurting yourself lifting those 30lb trout
