    Default Bellingham, WA

Hi, new to the board, or at least posting anyway.

I will be in the Bellingham, WA area the first week of November and wondering what fishing opportunities are available to me that time of year.

I'm not looking for any spots, just wondering what species are around that time of year. Salt or fresh, fly or plug. Just an NJ guy looking to get a taste of what the left coast has to offer. Thanks,
    Dan

Chums will running strong at this time of year. Early hatchery steelhead will be starting to show. The above is for the Skagit River which is a few miles south of B-Ham. An easy 45 minute to an hour drive.

Thanks for the come back, Kerry. I'll need to do a little research on this salmon and steelie game. I am pretty much a lifetime trouter and in the recent decade, a striped bass addict. Dreamed of salmon since I first saw them on the boob tube, except the venue was always Alaska. Sure would be nice to add to the species list...

    Any other suggestions anyone?
