Obviously I'm not JC. But I did have interest in the TT lines and remember a couple of posts you may be referring to. One is posted as: "royal Wulf lines?" Or you can try this: http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/Forum1/HTML/012150.html[/url:5479e]
Another is posted as: "Lee Wullfs Triangle Taper Lines" or try this: http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/Forum1/HTML/013803.html[/url:5479e]

I've read the review by AC a couple of times now and I don't see where he talks about trimming the line. I also followed the link to the manufacturers web site and they also mention that the tip can be cut to achieve the desired performance but no description of how that works. Are there any guidelines for how far back to trim the line for different applications and/or rod actions?

when i got my first TT line, for my 3 wt if it matters, i took it out and went fishing with it. i noticed that when i was presenting the fly, the line would shoot brilliantly and straight as an arrow, except for the last 4 feet or so. i clipped off about 3 feet of the tip, and it has turned into the most beautifully castable line ive ever used. mending, roll casting, and regular casting are all dreams come true.
your mileage may, and usually does, vary, so, as JC said, take about 6" at a time, until it casts the way you want it to.
Thanks JC and flytier!
