    Default Orlando Fishing

Me and the wife mate is a headed to Orlando to watch our daughter gradgeeate from UCF on May 4th. We'll be there from May 3rd to the 6th, with Saturday the 5th being an open day. The rest of the kinfolk are headed to Disney for the day (our daughter works there and gets free tickets), and the old man (ME!) wants to go chase some leetle feeshies, but I haven't a clue where to go. I'll be packin my 4-piece 6'-6" 2wt, and will be happy to chase gills all day long. I been to Disney enough times to gag, so fishing is the better alternative for this ole boy.

If anyone has any ideas where I can go, let me know here, in a PM or e-mail at flyfishohio@yahoo.com. They got any "ditch fishin" in Orlando like down south? I'd like to get into some of those Oscars that folks toss in the ditches when they get too big for their aquariums. Oh, and I DON'T like them critters with all the teeth and the long nose.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. Matt. I'm not looking for a guide, just someplace to do some shore fishing. Maybe a pond in a city park that has sunnies or someplace like that. I have several fishing trips planned for this summer/fall, so I'm just looking for some places to do a little C&R fishing. If the Indian River/Mosquito Lagoon area fits that, I'd be interested in directions.

    Thanks
