Not at home right now to check, but I believe it was in the last issue of Fly Tyer Mag, maybe the one before. It's on my list to tie as well. LOVE the Angel Hair.

Yeah, the reason I was asking is because i have 7 full unused packages of angel hair, and i'm not 100% sure what it is for, and the morris minnow looks like a very fun fly, that could be used for just about everything.

I made it home and checked - I was wrong on that reference. It is in the Spring 2007 issue of Flyfishing and Tying Journal, page 46.

As for uses - any streamers, or other patterns where you want some flash with great movement. I've also heard tell of people cutting it up and putting it in a dubbing loop for bodies, but haven't tackled that one yet. It sounds like a whole lot of mess and work.

    JZ,

I'm not familiar with the Morris Minnow, but here's a link for a bunker imitation for striped bass using Angel Hair. The Mossbunker is a large deep bodied SW baitfish, you can use this type of pattern to imitate whitefish for your big ol' Jasper pike, just use whatever colors, or mark up with a sharpie or pantone pen to get the colors you want.

BTW, Angel Hair also works on those weedless patterns I sent you awhile back using those Gamakatsu or Owner plastic worm hooks.

    Good luck.
