    Default Mailing flies question.

I have entered my first swap , I live in Canada the Swapmeister is in the USA . I was just going to add in a lot of stamps for the Self addressed return package. Now it occurs to me that Canadian stamps probably won't work mailed from within the US. What method do you use for cross-border swaps?

i just received flies from Sweden in a swap I hosted and he sent me a 5 dollar (US currency) bill for return postage.

    Cash always works!

Ok! but how will sending a $5.00 bill to sweden help me?

Just kidding I can get some US bux from the bank.

Haven't a clue on how much it will cost to send a fly container from the US to the wilds of Canada.
I guess its just first time swap blues.

    Gnu,

Instead of trying to get the correct amount of stamps for a swap, international or otherwise, I just toss $5 into the fly box to cover postage and a cup of coffee for the swapmeister.

yeah..sending currency to the swapmeister works, I sent some flies to Canada for a swap and sent along with some Canadian $ that I had floating around to cover the return postage.
    Take care and cya around,

I sent my flies to HMD for a swap. He lives in Alberta. I beleive it cost me $.63 to get them there. No idea what it will cost for him to return them. He said it was harder to get US stamps so I sent him $5 worth of them. If I am not mistaken, you have joined my swap, right? So a couple of bucks would be fine by me. Unless for some reason sending things to Canada works way differently than sending them around the US. Just figure on whatever it takes to get them to me, send the same amount to me for the return shipping.

Yes I joined your swap. I have sent off the flies today with some bux in for the stamps. If there's any money left over you can use it for a trip to say Paris, London, maybe Rome, somewhere nice anyway.
