    Default Fly Threader?

My eyes are getting weaker as the seasons come along.
I see in the Orvis catalog there is a magnetic fly threader. Has anyone used one and do they really work?

They are so good I carry an Orvis threader box with all my tiny stuff in it.

    Default Fly Threaders?

Ray I didn't mean a box to put small flies in. It is a box that you pass your leader tippet through and it goes through the eye of the hook.

    Default FLY THREADER?

Ray Thanks again. It's not a c&f fly threader box. It's a small plastic box with a magnetic holder for the eye of the hook and then you pass the tippet through a hole and it is supposed to go through the eye. and for all size hooks?

Looks like a great gadget for those of us with poor eyesight. At that price, I think I'll just fish close to VEE so she can thread flies on my tippet for me.

Cabela's has a Quick-Tye Threader for about ten bucks that works ok for me.

    TROUTNET,
    I have the orvis threader.
    It works quite well.
so does the C&F threader box.

I own and use them both.

you would be happy with either, I suspect.

    All the Best,
