Rod Price
Hi
I just stumbled onto an older bamboo in excellent condition and need expertise to see what it's worth.
The Rod is a Heter's St. Albans Deluxe Split Bamboo, 8 ft. 2 piece and extra tip. Made in England. I don't know if the sock and tube are with it at the moment.
I found the rod in my 1972 Herter's catalog and the retail price at that time was #42.14

It could be worth a few bucks alright. Did you google for sites that appraise can rods?

Lunker, the rod you are talking about was made for Herter's by Partridge of Redditch when they were in the bamboo business. they have a fairly slow action as they were almost fully parabolic in the taper. They are nice little rods and as you have already noticed...they fetch better dollars now than they did as new...but of course, most bamboo does!!
This one has the rod sock and the rod tube and he's asking $350 for it. It is for sale if any one is interested.
