    Default Non-fishing, unless I say ...

there are no fish in the Dead Sea. That work?

Spent yesterday afternoon(many hours) in the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit in Union Station, here in Kansas City. It was incredible! If you have any kind of chance to visit, until I believe the 8th of May 2007, take it. The artifacts that are there, the lectures, the pictures ... oh, my! ... it's just the chance of a lifetime! It's best to get your tickets in advance, and there are special rates for groups; the lines are not long, and you can take as much time as you want to go through. It's just a jaw dropping experience!
Trouts don't live in ugly places.

A friend is not who knows you the longest, but the one who came and never left your side.

Don't look back, we ain't goin' that way.

What an absolutely wonderful experience that must have been. I wish I had the opportunity.

Betty did you happen to notice whether or not there were any good fly pattern recipes in the scrolls? Just curious about flytying way back then when there were fish in the dead sea.

Betty my love you always manage to come up with some very great things to do and let us know about them. Unfortunatly that is too far away for me but if you can post some pictures I'd love to see them. If you and Cary can ever get over to my new digs I'd love to take you both on a tour of the JD Whiskey Works after nailing a few trout on the Duck or Elk.

Is that like 'There are no fish in the Black Hills .....' ?

Actually - would love to take a boo at them if they come close by. After spending 6ish months on the peninsula just SW of Israel. The area is THE place of biblical history. Seeing it all was ... dunno, can't really put it to words. And somehow - cool just don't cut it, considering the subject matter.

YES! GBF, Back then it wasn't the Gray Ghost Streamer, it was the Great Caesars Ghost, tied on a Mustad Fishbone-9672-size-4

Thanks for posting this. My wife and I just might have to make the drive down. They would be worth seeing.

    You're a peach!
