Thread: Hey Married guys.......

    Default Hey Married guys.......

If any of you have trouble getting away for fishing trips because your wife doesn't want to go or doesn't want you to go - I have your solution! I just got back from a girl-trip to a great spa in Santa Fe. If you're looking for a great trip, head out to SF for a fishing trip and send your wife to Ten Thousand Waves. The spa is amazing and it's close to all the fishing. You'll both have a blast!

    Heaven,

If I even THOUGHT about going fishing without my girlfriend and her son (and the Dawg), I'd be locked out of the house.

Does your dog out-fish y'all? My old Labrador used to catch more than I did sometimes. He wasn't much on C&R though...just didn't see the sense in it.

I feel lucky. Last week my wife TOLD me to go fishing. She said I needed to straighten my head out, and that 6 hours fishing should do it. Well low and behold, she was right. Turns out she had alterior motives though, she just wanted to me test out some new flies to make sure they were going to work for HER on our upcoming float. Oh well, they did work, and as a bonus I have found that when she is catches fish................

    Well anyway, Have fun, Jeff

    SM, .. LoL !!

Actually Kenny isn't a "water" dawg and doesn't jump into the pools (thank goodness). Unlike Jack's Cheasapeak which, on one warm August day SAW the Salmon in the pool and dove from 5 feet in the air and SWAM 6 feet down looking for the salmon. Cleared the pool pretty quickly. Lucky we were alone in the zone.

Kenny WILL sit for long mornings and evenings, watching a pool, KNOWING/hoping that a salmon will eventually jump. He gets pretty excited then, running up to us "saying", ... hey you rookies, there's one over there !!"

OH! your learning some of the great spots in New Mexico...There is also some great snow skiing and fly fishing nearby. Next time bring your fly rod.

    Glad you enjoyed yourself.

Great responses - I've got to get a dog! I do love to fish but sometimes..... there's nothing like hot-tubbing and a salt glow! I already have our future planned out. When the boys are old enough to go to camp we'll drop them off at one in SF and stay in town to fish/spa. I LOVED Santa Fe and hadn't been since I was a kid. Great trip.

Ten Thousand Waves and Tomasito's. It may not get much better!
