Trip from Omaha to White River
I need to go fishing. I am thinking about heading down to the white river in AR right in late Feb or early March for a extended weekend. Leave early on Friday am and return on Monday late afternoon.
Anybody up in this neck of the woods interested in carpooling and sharing expenses??

They are running 7 units around the clock 24/7 on the White. Norfork is running 2 wide open.

I have atrip planned to Bennett springs in May if you are interested I had a buddy that has gone with for the last eight years and his old lady told him no this year so I am going stag and looking for some companyif anyone is game.

Just a follow-up. I did make it to the White River in early April for three days.
On thursday day at dusk we had a tremendous caddis hatch down near His-place resort. The difficultly was seen your size 16 elk caddis fly amongst the thousand of flies on the water plus those in the air, in your ears, on your eyelids, and in your mouth. There was hundreds of five inch browns and 12-14 inch rainbows rising while some large brown hogs were own a shopping trip of their own. It was awesome.
Friday they did not strart the bull shoal generators until late in the afternoon. Fishing was truly outstanding.
On Sat. they had the generators open and fishing slow down. Although we did see a 12 inch rainbow trying to get away from a 25 pound brown in very shallow water. The action lasted for about 5-7 seconds and we do not know the outcome. The brown was so big that it made its own wake!!!!
My fishing trips for the next several months are as follow:
May - Montana (Missouri River) two day float trip
June - Green River Utah (Three days float)
July - South Platte River in Wyoming (7 days)
August - ??? (Exploring Options - Tarpoon or Redfish in Mosquito Lagoon Fl two day guide trip - anybody interested???
Sep - Ireland 3 days over by Westport
Oct - Naples Fl (one or two days guided)
Nov - White River AR or Madison river MT (two days floating with guide - anybody interested?
Dec - Belize (25th Anversity and second honeymoon) Permit etc.???
It will be a busy year.
