Waiomu River N.Z.
Fished the Waiomu on Saturday it was a beautifull day, no breeze and the Cicadas finaly out and chirping. The fishing was great mostly smaller fish but I did manage a larger brown of about 3lb and a couple of Rainbows in the 2.5 to 3lb range plus lots (20+) of the smaller guys around the 12 inch mark.
It was great to finaly get a proper summers day on the water, the fish were all taken on small hair and copper or grhe flies under a dry fly. Only one fish took the dry and I managed to snatch it out of his mouth without hooking him!
