    Default Size matters

I spent today at a small FF show, held at a put&take trout fishery south of Rotterdam.

I took my daughter, and a friend, along. While I demo-tied, my daughter took her friend under her wing and got him to tie his first ever flies:

As boys tend to be boys, and size does still seem to matter, there was a small project to dress a large hook:

How this panned out can be seen here...

    Hans W

Those rather large flies definitely look "fishy". I don't think I'de want to fight the monster that can swallow that hook though. LOL *G*

It's a nice thing your daughter did for her friend, you've trained her well.
As for that other fly, (I looked at the finished product on your website), it looks like it was meant for a whale, although Im not sure even their mouths are big enough.

It looks about right to catch some TEXAS perch. What line would you use?

    JC,

You're to be congratulated actually. I would have thought that teasing your friend "in low places" would have included a reference to his lovely daughter looking like the maternal side of the family and not otherwise! By the by - that "small" fly is an awesome attention grabber.
