I have two 1956's and am very happy with them...i also have the Orvis Mid Arbor and i do interchange the spools as well. It has been mentioned already that because Pflueger considers a spool a "part" you can buy direct from them...$25 Now, oddly enough you can also buy the housing because it to is considered a "part"...$27, How many parts does a reel have? do the math...

    Default Rods?

    Hi Ol' Blue,

I've never heard of those two rods, but I've been able to find some fine used rods here on the FAOL website.

Two Scotts (a vintage G and a mint G2), a St. Croix Ultra (on the way), and a primo hand-built TFO 4 wt. TiCro (also on the way).

    All from FAOL members...

    That should about do it.

Hmmm ... guess who just got a cheque for 50% of the marital home?

Also just scored a new Remingtom MM 12 gauge ... a good idea for the water that I'm gonna be fishing alone but full-time next summer.

Ronnie Baston and Dan Craft are blanks you have to build the rod yourself or have someone build one for you
A baston 6wt 4pc blank will run you $40 Another 40 for components and you have yourself a nice rod
