Thread: Saltwater or Freshwater..What's you guilty Pleasure?

Default Saltwater or Freshwater..What's you guilty Pleasure?

I thought I would pose the question as to how others felt about what their favorite type of fishing is. Most either live near freshwater or Saltwater destinations so that may be their ideal choice but what about you?

I prefer both but seeing how I spend (60-70 days) in freshwater streams/lakes vs Saltwater destinations (15 days) it's hard to pass but I can honestly say that once you begin Saltwater fly fishing the bug hits you bad!

Late afternoon hatches on the Madison in the Fall or chasing Tarpon in the Flats...hmmm both sound good to me..

Very Clever Gil No real preference, I just need to go fish! Although I keep having this reoccurring dream...

I agree....If only one could live half the year near Saltwater (Florida) and the rest here in Denver!

    Fresh water is for drinking.

    Saltwater is for fishing.

Don't drink that water... you don't know what fish have done in it.

My guilty pleasure is an afternoon spent on a one or two acre farm pond that has been well stocked with bass and brim. It's about as laid back and relaxing an afternoon as you will find anywhere. I've often found that I can catch as many fish as I want from a single point or dock . 8T
