An FAOL Christmas Poem...Please help finish it.......

I'll start it. Everyone feel free to pitch in and lets have some fun....

The day after Christmas,
and out on the stream,
In pursuit of the Brownie that haunted my dreams,
Fly rod in hand, my heart run amok,
'cause there was that Brownie,
Big as a truck......

I let loose what I thought the perfect cast,
But alas went way to far past,

I cast out another just past his nose
From way down on the bottom in splender He rose
He slashed at the fly but I in my haste
Yanked on it to soon, Man what a waste

I picked up the line,
My spirit still strong,
Laid out a roll cast,
Long, true and strong,

My pulse quickens,
my heart races
The lack of youth is putting me through the paces,
My chest feels heavy
I hope it's not time
this fish is not yet landed,
but alas, I feel heavy handed.

The Brownie took off,
Pulling so hard,
That my drag started smoking,
This fish is a card......

I blew on the reel which was hot to the touch
I'd never had a fish on that pulled this much
The reel started smoking just as the fish arose
So quiclky I dunked it down to my toes

The fish kept running and I couldn't slow it down
It jumped, I gasped, Oh My, 10 pounds
It got in the current and down the river it went
I tried to keep up but was pretty well spent

I slipped on a rock and under the water I go
Bing, Bang, Biff the rocks pummell me so
It hurt so much I thought I would cry
But through it all, I kept my rod up high

I'm boucing off rocks like a pinball machine
I can't help but think "This fish is still green"
I smiled to myself thinking this was so groovy
I'd just taken part in my favorite movie

Really though you know I'm no Brad Pitt
and it hurt me bad about where I sit.
I crawled ashore so spent and so sore
but wouldn't you know it.
The Brown just laughed and hollered for more!

And I heard him exclaim
As he swam out of sight,
if your want to catch big Browns like me
You have to go fishing at night.
