    Default ocellated turkey feathers

I recently saw a turkey hunt on the TV, they were going for ocellated turkey somwhere in Mexico. It's a new bird to me, I was really impressed by the colorful plumage, as dramatic as peacock!

Does anyone know of a source for these feathers?

    Here is a pic...

    Default Ocellated Turkeys

Ocellated and Osceola Turkeys are two differnt species. I believe Oscellatted are found in Mexico and SA, and Osceola are found in Florida

You might have better luck with a search if you spell it "Oscillated".

Phil Castleman at castlearms.com had some the last I recall. Try him. A few years back, there were a few flies on the cover of the Art of Angling Journal that used Oscellated Turkey feathers. They aren't cheap, either. Hope this helped, Jamie

Siskiyou Aviary has them. They are very beautiful feathers as I found out when someone sent them to me.

They don't fit into the "normal" patterns but they are beautiful.
