Default Request for Barred Wood Duck feathers...

For any of the duck hunters out there I have a request. The barred feather is the flank feather at the bottom of the foot on the male that has the black and white bands. I have collected the flank feathers off wood ducks for years and thrown away the barred feather since I had no use for it. Now that I tie Salmon flies, I need the barred feather but won't be able to duck hunt very much this year. Any that you could send to me would be most appreciated. Contact me for my mailing address and I will also gladly pay shipping for anyone that has any luck with the little quackers.

Here is a picture of the feathers I need:

    Thanks for the help guys.

Dawg. I might be interested in a trade. I have a whole bunch of the barred (I never use them) feathers, but my supply of flank feathers is getting low. Maybe 1 for 1? I would be willing to count them and take a pic of the pile? I am thinking 2-3 ducks worth.

Not as many as I thought. Here they are on the newest Fly Tier. Follow the link to see a pic.

I think I have a deal with Caddis for some but I could use more if anyone else out there has any they would be willing to part with.

I'm a duck hunter but we just don't get any woodies over here. The Central and Mississippi Flyways are where they're at. Post a message on a duck hunting board and I bet you will be overwhelmed w/ feathers. Here is a link to one. http://www.duckhunter.net/
