    Default A MERRY CHRISTMAS

A merry to you all from this side of the pond .
I heard the following on Radio Athlone the other day
There is mentioned that 3 wisemen brought gifts to the boy child , Question:- how many wise men attended and never brought gifts .

    Brian,
I believe all who attended were wise. I wish I could have been there.
    MERRY CHRISTMAS,
Where you go is less important than how you take the steps.

Really it says that Wise Men brought three gifts. No idea of the number of them there.

It is my understanding the wise men were from Persia (Iran) Their names were Balthasar, Melchior, Caspar. It is said Casper the youngest of the three brought gold as a gift to symbolize purity and charity. Melchior brought Myrre a gum when chewed was suppose to strengthen children. Balthasar the oldest brought Frankincese a fragance used in incense to help with purification and provide spiritual surroundings. The song we all hear at Christmas "We Thee Kings" would lead one to think they were kings? Since you have to be pretty smart in most cases to be a king we could also assume the three kings were wise men. I only know the others that were there were shepards. I suppose a shepard could be wise also?

    Brian,
I know your from the other side of the pond, but it would have been a good idea to deliver the punch line/answer to your riddle/question. Bible facts might be a no no along with politics.
