Fly fishing in Fresno CA question

The lower Kings (below Pine Flat)is being planted with big trout from now until March. These run 3 to 10 pounds. The will make the river crowded on weekends. The section below Alta Weir is fly only, barbless, zero limit. Alta is about 5 miles downstream from Pine Flat dam. It may be less crowded. If planters turn you off, there are resident fish there also. Herb Bauers or Buzs will be able to help you the most.

I have no problem with stockers especially if they are in the 3-5 pound range. Hopefully it will not be that crowded with it being the weekend before Christmas. You never know. This trip is mainly for my nephew though. I want to get him in to some fish.
It should be fun.
