    Default Dyed Grizzly Capes

I recently saw mention of a "Grizzly, Dyed Ginger" color. To me it looked appropriate for an alternaive to a Cree for an Instant Adams.
Can someone point out a source ?

    Ray,

Try looking at the 'variant' capes. Some of these will have all three 'Adams' colors of black, brown, and white, albeit not in the same clear deliniation of the true Cree.

I've found some imported necks lately that actually are very close to what I want from a 'cree' feather, plenty close enough so that the fish won't care. If you have a decent sized shop that sells imported necks, often you can pick through them and find some dandys.

In any event, just dying the grizzly will only give you two colors, instead of the intended three normally used. Doubt that it will matter a bit on a fishing fly, though.

    Good Luck!
