Default Got my new digital SLR camera today!!!

My new Pentax K110D digital SLR arrived today. YeeHaw! Bought it form Cameta Camera on eBay as they had the best price and they were highly recommended by Ohiotuber. They have excellent prices on all brands and types. You cannot beat their bonus packs. Fast shipping and great customer service too.

I will be out tomorrow at the shooting range next to Clark's Creek to sight in my rifle. Looks like a day of shooting rifles, pictures and perhaps some fly fishing too.

B the way, if you have an older Pentax film SLR (35m.m.) your lenses are compatible with the new Pentax K10, K110 and K100 idgital SLR cameras. Pentax says these new cameras are compatible with virtually any Pentax lens ever made.

Hope to have some pictures to share with you.

    Hey Eric,

While you are at it, check this out:

I highly recommend this rifle rest. I have one and it makes sighting in a breeze for any rifle and its a good platform for rifle cleaning. Mine cost a lot more than the current bid as I bought mine brand new but it was worth it. Whoops! Looks like the bidding already ended. Sorry.

Thanks for the info. I have had my eye on that model for a while now.

I bought my Nikon D70s and a few lenses from Cameta Camera. They are excellent and easy to do business with.

    Nighthawk,

I owned a Pentax iSDs. I was a great camera, until I dropped it 5 feet onto some rocks. I just replaced it with a K110D. I can tell you that the Pentax lens compatability is amazing. I have several K mount lenses that work perfectly. Even the old Pentax screw mount lens with K adapter works well with the new digital.

Just don't drop the thing. Digitals don't seem to take impact like the old Spotmatic or MX film cameras!

    Wrangler,
Have you made it through that instruction manual yet? Man, that camera has a lot of great functions on it. Not as rugged as my old K-1000 but works great with the K mount bayonet lenses.

IMHO, anything with the Pentax name on it is well worth the money.

I read the manual for the first camera completely. For the new one, I have just looked at the new features. The really cool feature that I found with the K110D is the automatic color balance. I tried it with a mix of florencent and incandecent light and it color balanced perfectly. Try finding filters to do that with film! I have had Pentax cameras since the early 70's and agree that they are fine tools. Just hang on when rock climbing!

Have fun with the new toy!!
