    Default Cortland Line Company

I was in Cortland Line Company's factory store yesterday and received excellent service. They're one of our sponsors and I figured I'd let you know that they're great. The factory store has really good discounts on fishing gear, and huge discouts on the discontinued models: especially reels and lines. If you find yourself near Cortland, NY, I suggest you go in and see what they've got and thank them for the sponsorship.

    Hi Diane,

I have not had the pleasure of visiting Cortlands
Factory store due to geographic constraints. I have
had a number of very satisfactory purchases from
there on line and each time I have mentioned that I
got there as a result of their FAOL sponsorship.
I keep the Factory Store on my favorites list and
check it frequently. Have found some real bargins
there on discontinued rod models.*G* Warm regards,
    Jim

It does help,a lot, when any of you mention to our sponsors that you even know about FAOL. To say that you are buying as a direct result is even better. Sometimes, just a 'Thank you' call will be rewarding as well. Remember, most of the calls they get are problems and complaints. Getting a nice call really stands out. I know it does with us.

    Diane, RW here

I just moved and live only about half and hour from Cortland's Factory Store. I've been there a number of times before and have gotten some good deals. I'll probably be visiting it fairly often now.

A major item on my agenda is to drive over to NY & visit Mary & Bobby Dial (the late, great Oldman's widow & son), his other children, & combine that trip with a stop in the Cortland store. Diane, RW, & others...I would LOVE to meet some of you face to face, & rest assured that I will be toting a fair amount of PB fudge when I visit. I'll be sure to post with advance notice before I make the trip.

Mike, I've got a little guest room all ready for you and some finger lake tribs you might enjoy getting to know.

    Dear Diane,

I miss being able to poke around in the factory store like I could in the old days. I too got some good deals there.

Don't be afraid to poke around in Hesselson's in Elmira either. I know they aren't a sponsor, but they have some really great deals if you look around for them. I used to spend hours in there.

    Best Wishes,
    Avalon
