    Hey guys just to share my best carp fly with you hehe hope you like it, it also catches plenty of trout and bass

    Alex, the recipe is as follows

    Hook: Saltwater or Standard nymph sizes 4-10
    Thread:Orvis clear 10/0
    Tail:Sand Minimarabou and a V shaped tail of bugskin
    Body:Cream or natural Spun wool trimed to an oval shape, and flat on the top and underside
    Hackleun kind of webby, trimed top and bottom
    Anthenae:white rubber

    Optional weightumbell eyes

    Default How do you prefer to fish it?

    Carp, since it's not weighted, are you fishing it in stillwaters, e.g. lakes instead of rivers?

    I'm assuming very slowly too? Does it work best in shallower waters...maybe around 3 ft dp?

    Jeremy, actually most of my fishing is in shallow waters where I can see tha carp, this fly sinks fairly slow, I carry 3 versions of the fly one weightless as the one in the pic, another one with bead chain eyes and a third one with lead eyes, just be usre to get the fly really wet before presenting it to a carp, because it will float on the first cast if not wet.
