I hooked a seal in the Kennebec River. They come up and take stripers off of fishermen's line...sometimes they get hooked!

Jim Skinner while fishing for searun cutthroat from my boat. If you ever met Jim Skinner you would think he was a very strange catch indeed.

    Jim,
Were not letting you off the hook! You better tell us details about that bikini top or else!!
I think your bikini top might have moved ahead of the diaper story.

As I put a little more tension on the line, whatever I was hooked on began to move towards me. After several seconds of pumping and pulling I finally landed a bright, silver, six pack of Colt Malt Liquor Beer. The bottom of the cans were rusted, but the tops were protected by the plastic can covers that they used back in those days.

    So how was it????

I still don't know what it was. I caught it in the ocean just off Newport, Oregon. It was solid, bright orange and about 7"-8" long. The tail was squid-like. There were external gills around where the head would be. Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Bikini Top. It made for an interesting wall
mount. Alas, unlike the Cinderella fable, an exact
match, or matches, was never found.*G* Warm regards,
    Jim
